A personalised Plane illustration Mug made from your photo
Celebrate a first solo aircraft, flying-school plane, vintage aircraft, airliner or favourite aeroplane with a custom plane portrait created from your own photograph. Our illustration process keeps the wing shape, tail, engines or propeller, landing gear, livery and registration recognisable while translating the original image into understated charcoal linework and soft, desaturated colour. The result has the refined look of a commissioned automotive, marine or aviation drawing rather than a photo filter.
Designed especially for this Mug
The illustration is mirrored on both sides of the 11oz ceramic mug, so it can be seen whichever hand holds it. The side-profile composition is balanced for the product, with clean white space around the vehicle so the important details remain easy to see. This makes it a useful personalised gift for the kitchen, office, garage or workshop.
Add a name, model, registration or special date
Optional wording can sit neatly beneath the illustration in dark charcoal grey. Add the vehicle name, model, registration, a memorable date or a short dedication, then choose from our curated serif, sans-serif and handwritten fonts. Leave the field blank for a pure editorial plane illustration.
How to choose the best Plane photo
Use a sharp, well-lit image showing the complete vehicle. A clean side-on photograph gives the closest match, but the crop tool lets you remove distracting surroundings and focus on the plane. Avoid screenshots, heavy filters and photos where people or other objects hide key parts. We remove the original background and keep the details that make this particular vehicle yours.
A thoughtful gift for every pilot or aviation enthusiast
Personalised Plane mugs are ideal for birthdays, Christmas, Father's Day, retirement, restorations, first solos, launches and milestone trips. Each piece is made to order from the customer's photograph, so no two illustrations are the same. Preview the artwork with your chosen text and font before ordering.
